  1. My Wonderland.

Getting outside the house, I smell the wonderful frosty scent, so, from this moment I can be sured that the day will be fantastic. Yes, it sounds a bit strange, but my wonderland is something typical for others, but very peculiar and precious for me. Ok, I'll tell you about it.

When I was a little boy, my favourite holiday was the New Year. It is quite easy to explain. Every New Year, when I was young, I got gifts from very unusual fairytale character – Santa Claus. I believed in Santa, and he was the most realistic hero for me. I can connect that fact with my parents and grandparents, because every New Year night they showed me a small perfomance, that proved the Santa Claus existence. For example, once I heard that somebody has knocked on my door (it was the New Year of course, I've immediately opened door, but there was nobody there. My grandfather said, that I should check the postbox, I've done it. There was a letter, written by Santa: «Dear friend, I've hidden the gifts for you, but you can find them, if you follow my instructions…». So, I did everything, what was interpreted in letter, and finnaly found my gifts. These moments were really exiting adventures for me, and they were the beginnings of my wonderland.

So, what is my wonderland? The New Year? Of course, no. It's something more usual and casual.

When I lost my beliefs in Santa (because I was getting older, and the small perfomances were ended) my parents told me: «We want you to make little shows to your children in future, to make them believe in faitytale». The magic of winter was lost too? No! When I was 12 I've started my new for that time hobby – snowboarding. And that incredible activity pushed me to love it as much, as the combination of all my favourite hobbies. I was really proud that I was a snowboarder. It really took my breathe away. Some years later this kind of winter sport helped me to relieve stress and toughted some usefull skills. I'm doing snowboarding nowadays too, and I think it is my favourite kind of sport.

    Yes, my wonderland is winter.

Two factors made winter the best season in the year: my memories of fairy childhood, when I believed in Santa, memories that put my family very close to me, and the ability of snowboarding. But why my wonderland is winter? These factors helped me to choose my favourite season in the year, and from that moment I've started to find typical things and events in winter very special. Christmas movies are my favourite ones, christmas music is very close to my tastes, famous books about winter are very precious for me, walking in the park in winter evenings with my friends is very important for me too and of course snowboarding with my friends – I can't live without it. Everything that happends in winter is usually very nice. I've forgotten to tell about warm pretty evenings with the cup of tea and ginger cookies in my family circle. I bought my darling dog in January. Winter is very beautiful season too: the snow covers trees, roofs of houses, roads, in daytime, when the sun is shinning, everything outside is glittering, in the evening you usually feel yourself in another world, in fairytale like Alice in Wonderland. I don't know how to explain my love for winter, because it's very unusual love, fairy love for my Wonderland.
